Welcome to Filtered. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our AI-powered co-parent communication service. By using Filtered, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Filtered, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our service.

2. Service Description

Filtered provides an AI-powered SMS filtering service designed for co-parent communication. Our service includes:

• A dedicated phone number for co-parent communication
• AI-powered filtering of hostile or harmful message content
• Smart notifications for urgent matters
• AI-generated response suggestions
• Message history and documentation

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Filtered. By using our service, you represent that you are of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Account Registration

To use Filtered, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

5. SMS Consent

By creating an account and accepting a Filtered phone number, you expressly consent to receive SMS messages including:

• Forwarded messages from your co-parent (filtered for hostile content)
• Emergency and urgent matter alerts
• Service notifications about your account

You may opt out at any time by texting STOP to your Filtered number or through app settings.

6. Subscription and Payment

Filtered offers a 14-day free trial for new users. After the trial period:

• Continued use requires a paid subscription at $9 per month
• Subscriptions are billed monthly and auto-renew unless cancelled
• You may cancel at any time through the app; access continues until the end of your billing period
• Refunds are provided at our discretion for service issues

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Filtered only for legitimate co-parenting communication. You may NOT:

• Use the service to harass, threaten, or abuse any person
• Send illegal content or use the service for illegal purposes
• Attempt to circumvent our filtering systems for malicious purposes
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our AI models or algorithms

8. AI Filtering Disclaimer

Important: Our AI filtering technology is designed to identify and filter hostile, manipulative, or emotionally harmful content. However:

• AI filtering is not perfect and may occasionally miss harmful content
• Filtered summaries may not capture every nuance of the original message
• You can always view original messages if needed for context or legal purposes
• Filtered does not provide legal, therapeutic, or safety advice

You acknowledge that Filtered is a communication tool and should not replace professional support when needed.

9. Intellectual Property

Filtered and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Filtered is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Messages that were not properly filtered
• Decisions you make based on filtered content or suggestions
• Service interruptions, delays, or technical issues
• Actions or content of third parties, including your co-parent
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Filtered and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may terminate your account at any time through the app or by contacting us.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
