Filtered uses SMS messaging to deliver filtered co-parent communications directly to your phone. This page explains how our SMS service works and your rights regarding text messages.

When you sign up for Filtered, you explicitly consent to receive SMS messages by:

Message frequency varies based on your co-parent's communication patterns. On average, users receive between 1-20 messages per week, but this can vary significantly. You have full control over notification settings within the Filtered app, allowing you to customize which messages trigger SMS alerts.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time using any of these methods:

After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message. You can continue to use the Filtered app to view messages, but will no longer receive SMS notifications.

Costs and Carrier Fees

Filtered does not charge per-message fees to users. However, standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Please check with your carrier regarding your SMS plan and any applicable charges.

Supported Carriers

Filtered SMS messages are supported by all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and most regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Your phone number and message data are protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Message content is encrypted and securely stored.
